Pictures are through the wormhole.
Now, this is not originally my idea; I found it here and just changed the colors. But I'm still pretty proud of it, and neither Nar nor I have posted anything significant so far. So here.
Nar's pants were the perfect backdrop.
This was a pretty good one so's you can see the detail, but I haven't cleaned up my cuticles yet. Clearly.
Most pictures of manicures include holding the used nail polish bottles. I didn't have those on hand.
I've got this thing about advertising: if I'm not being paid to advertise, I don't wanna do it. For instance, I pretty much refuse to wear clothing with logos that overtake the item. But here are the products I used anyway.
Zoya - Get Even
Sally Hanson - Hard As Nails - Xtreme Wear - 06 - Sun Kissed
Sinful Colors - 921 - All About You
Sally Hanson - Hard As Nails - Xtreme Wear - 17 - Ivy League
Poshe - Super-Fast Drying Topcoat
Konad plate M57
All About You over Sun Kissed is absolutely magical. It's not showing up in pictures very well, but I left it like that for a day, then later I used a sponge and tried to gradient the green onto the tips. This was my first try and could have been done better. After that, I used Sun Kissed again with the net pattern on M57 to make the scales, and that covered over All About You better than I thought it would to help with the ganoid scale look. I covered the whole thing in the Poshe topcoat, which is not as good as Seche Vite in the fast-drying department, but it's not a fight to remove polish like it is with Seche Vite, I've never had it shrink the polish, and it makes the polish feel like plastic. That's pretty neat.
I wish someone'd make a ctenoid pattern for nail stamping.
The best thing about this mani (besides being completely adorable and superhero themed) is that I could do it on both hands. My left hand is figuratively a vestigial appendage. He can't do much of anything but be the pretty one, but he was still able to do an equally fine job as my right for this design.
This will probably never happen again.
But it's good news for all you guys who are severely non-ambidextrous, like me.
The cow likes it, too.
*Although the one I did a couple of weeks ago is right up there. It looked like the circus. Made me think of clowns every time I saw it.

Seriously happy nails.
I'monna do it again later, but maybe more harlequinly?
We'll see.
